Trade in, cash out

It’s simple. You’ll answer a few questions about your device to get an offer. We’ll provide a prepaid shipping label so you can send it to us for free. Once received, we’ll inspect your device to confirm its condition. After your offer is approved, we’ll send payment electronically to your bank.

Smartphones, basic phones, and Apple watches may be eligible for trade-in. You must be the rightful owner of the device, and the device cannot be lost, stolen, or activation locked.


If you still owe money on your device, you may remain responsible for payments to your carrier after trading it in. Check with your carrier for details.

When you start a trade-in, you can choose from the following two free shipping options:


Accessories should not be sent in with your device. Any accessory received will be recycled and will not be returned. Be sure to remove any SD cards or SIM cards as well.

You will receive email notifications to track the progress of your trade-in and see next steps. You can also view the status of your trade-in online.

We’ll inspect your device and send payment electronically to your bank through Hyperwallet, a secure payment service.


Once shipped, all trades are final unless the offer changes. Once received, Asurion will inspect your device to confirm the device model and condition. If the trade-in offer is unchanged, your trade-in will be automatically finalized. If the trade-in offer changes, you will receive notification of the revised offer. You will have 5 days to accept the revised offer. If you do not accept the offer or do not respond within that time frame, the trade-in will be canceled, and your device will be returned to you at no cost.
