I replaced the back housing assembly of my 3G. The process turned out to be a cake walk using the step-by-step procedures published by iFixIt.com. This is an outstanding back housing assembly, with perfect fit and finish. Also I was given outstanding support by David Reiff (support@ubreakifix.com). Highly recommended. Your 3G will work and look like new.

i got a iphone from my cousin he no longer needed it, the black iphone was so messed up it looked like it was slideing on the ground since day one. i order the housing assembly because it had eveything in it battery ear phone jack and all the buttons. the build was A+++ i mean wow when i replaced the housing all my friends though i got a new phone. i even handed it to a apple sales rep and asked him to check it out he was amazed at it . if you know how to take apart the iphone install should not take more then 15-20 mins max . i also orderd the mic, speaker , dock connection thats how happy i was with the service ...
